We are surrounded by images in our daily lives and now, more than ever, we have access to tools that allow us to create visual or audiovisual messages and share them.

Visual language offers us a spontaneous approach to the world and through it we consume, enjoy and even generate images instinctively. But, like any other language, our ability to interpret and create in a coherent, free and autonomous way is directly linked to the knowledge and practice of this code of expression and communication.

This course will allow us to approach in a practical way the tools that enable us to plan and design a message, to compose and shape it, to express an idea and to communicate with the environment in a visual way.

Those who attend the course in either of its two modalities will be able to observe, reflect and experiment through different media: illustrated albums, photographs, storyboards, posters, urban art, painting, cinema, advertising... Based on what they have learnt, they will put into practice small creative proposals, living the experience and making it a starting point for the design of classroom proposals, as well as for the production of their own images.

The goals of this course are to make contact with the image and its possibilities as an educational resource; to develop the ability to observe, interpret and create communicative and expressive images, and to explore resources and proposals that favour globalised learning through the visual arts, generating creative dynamics between professionals in the field of artistic education so that these practices can then be transferred to the students.
